Recreation
The emphasis of this Program is to allow the player to gain enjoyment of the sport, to understand and practice good sportsmanship and to learn and develop their soccer skills. While any child can participate in the Recreation Program, sufficient numbers must be registered to create a team. Since all boys and girls, Pre-K and up are eligible no try-outs are required. All Recreation Teams are coached by a Club designated volunteer Coach. It is strongly recommended that each Coach select a designated assistant coach and a parent liaison. The Recreation Program is broken into two levels, the First being Kinder Kickers which is Instructional only for the Pre-K and K Teams where they play in and intramural type setting locally. The next level, usually first grade and up practice and play in a local area recreation league. Practice time assignments are the responsibility of the Coordinating Committee with the needs of the volunteer coaches taken into consideration.
The Kinder Kicker and Recreation program extends over three seasons. First is the Fall Season which is played outdoors, Second is an Indoor Training / Tournament Season for those who express an interest, and lastly is the outdoor Spring Season. Parents are encouraged to volunteer or assist in some designated fashion.
Registration for all these programs remains open throughout the seasons. The Soccer Club will hold a primary registration in May. This registration will be for the upcoming season, and will cover all three seasons. This will give the Club an early view of how many teams we can form for the fall season. Parents must sign a registration form, inclusive of a medical release.
Fees, payable at registration are as follows:
-
Kinder Kickers: $140.00, covers insurance, field fees, equipment, trainer, participation award, a team T-shirt and (8) $5 raffle tickets.
